Good afternoon,
I am a second year film student at Coláiste Dhúlaigh and I have a query. We are currently preparing for our graduation films I am wondering if it would be possible to use the internet cafe area on the ground floor of the Civic Centre as a filming location?
It would just be for one scene in which we need somewhere that resembles a hospital waiting room. I was in the centre recently and noticed the area and how suitable it could be. I also saw that it is off to the side of the main floor area so I imagine that it could be used without creating any interference that might inconvenience your daily business in any way. Obviously we would only be talking about filming outside of the cafe business hours. As students we are also fully covered by the college insurance.
I would really appreciate any help you could give us. We all want to make the best films we can and in the past students have found finding suitable locations and getting the permission to use them one of the most difficult challenges they have to face.
