Rejection letter sent to all unsuccessful applicants post auditions

Dear (addressee),

Thank you for your audition last week for our short film. Unfortunately I have to tell you that you were not successful on this occasion. We were very impressed with your monologue and your improv, and we mean it when we say it was a particularly difficult decision choosing between everyone we saw for our two roles.

Our final decision really came down to selecting who we believed was the closest match to the characters as they are written in the script.

Myself and David certainly felt that we were very fortunate in terms of the amount of talent we saw in the auditions and In light of the above, we would love to keep you in mind for future projects if that is ok with you.

Again, thank you for attending the audition and we much-enjoyed going through the dramatic process with you.

Regards,

Enda
